School Improvement Plan

The Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) program at Forest View provides enhanced learning opportunities in Language Arts and Math for advanced students. AIG accelerated learning takes many shapes at Forest View. Small group learning environments, teaching assistance from AIG teachers, supplemental learning tools, access to academic extension activities, and weekly enrichment classes are some of the ways Forest View challenges the advanced learner.

Mathematics
Forest View programs like Math Superstars, combine with national enterprises like, the Continental Math League to promote AIG learning in mathematics. Parents of Forest View graduates have told us that the school prepares them for success at the middle school level.

Language Arts
In language arts we offer extended vocabulary development through word study and an emphasis on higher level thinking skills through book clubs and guided reading.

Additonal Programs

AIG students are also eligible to participate in:

No matter what program our AIG students are involved in, our emphasis at Forest View is on nurturing and strengthening higher-level thinking skills and challenging students to develop their full potential.
